'Sing Your Rocks Off' with New Mill MVC and Roger Davies
Charity Concert for Spinal Research
Ged Faricy sang with New Mill for more than 20 years. When he moved to Ilkley he founded ‘Sing Your Rocks Off‘, an all male group who ‘just sang for fun in a pub’. Three years later and things, inevitably, moved on and Ged has a Choir on his hands!
New Mill joined Sing Your Rock’s Off and Roger Davies at The King’s Hall in Ilkley for a Charity Concert in aid of the Spinal Research charity.
Sing Your Rock’s Off entertained the supportive Ilkley audience with gusto and verve. At times self deprecating, they grew in confidence as the evening progressed. A great future is assured as they sing with a style that will engage concert goers anywhere.
Roger gave a typical ‘Roger Davies‘ set. Just brilliant. ‘Huddersfield Town’ and ‘Brighouse on a Saturday Night‘ are already classics.
Rob Shelton, who suffers from spinal injury and is now an active trustee of the Spinal Research charity, thanked the performers and gave a moving insight into what a spinal injury means to an individual.
The concert raised over £1700 for Spinal Research
